KURUPPAMPADY: A Youth who tried committing suicide after losing money to online gambling died on Thursday. Rayamangalam native Dileesh(41) is the deceased. On Tuesday evening, Dileesh committed suicide by consuming poison. He was desperate over losing a huge chunk of money to online gambling. After reaching back home, Dileesh started showing signs of concern. His family minding the change in behaviour took him to Perumbavoor Taluk Hospital.

In the hospital, it was confirmed that Dileesh consumed poison and he was immediately shifted to Kolenchery Medical Mission Hospital. He died at 9 am on Thursday morning.

Dileesh is a barber. It is learned that he took a huge loan from a bank and has invested all this money into gambling.
