THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have arrested a youth for taking a girl to a hotel room and sexually assaulting her in the promise of marriage. The arrested person is Malappuram Kurumbalangode native Sanjay (24). According to the complaint, the accused took the girl to a hotel in Thampanoor after promising to marry her and sexually assaulted her.

Last month, a man was arrested for sexually assaulting a girl in the promise of marriage. Cherthala native Samlal(29) was arrested by Vanchiyur police on September 14. According to the police, the accused met the girl through Facebook and befriended her by promising to marry her.
