THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A major change in Vande Bharat train timings will come into effect from Monday. The change comes after the authorities allowed a new stop at Chengannur for the Vande Bharat train traveling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod.
Vande Bharat's departure from Thiruvananthapuram will be five minutes earlier from tomorrow. Vande Bharat, which was currently departing at 5:20 a.m., will start service at 5:15 a.m from Thiruvananthapuram central .
Train timings:
Thiruvananthapuram 5:15 am (5.20), Kollam 6:03 am (6:08), Chengannur 6:53 am, Kottayam and Ernakulam stations arrival timings remain unchanged. The arriving at Thrissur will be at 9:30 am and departing at 9:33 am.
Kasaragod - Thiruvananthapuram return journey of Vande Bharat remains unchanged until it reaches Shornur. The train will reach Thrissur at 6:10 pm and depart at 6:13 pm. Kollam 21:34 pm(21:30), Thiruvananthapuram 22:40 pm(22.35).
At the same time, the Railway Divisional Office informed that efforts are being made to resolve the complaint of holding other trains for Vande Bharat. The authorities also denied accusations of Vande Bharat always running late. It was also informed that the construction work including signal upgrade is going on at a fast pace.
