THRISSUR: A pothole on the cluttered road took yet another life in Kerala. Bijoy (45), a native of Pullur Madathikara is the deceased. The incident happened in the Irinjalakuda market area at 3 am on Monday.

Bijoy, who was a member of the Lorry Owners Association Thrissur District Executive and also the Iringalakuda Joint Secretary was returning home from work when the accident happened. The two-wheeler he was riding fell into a ditch near the soap company in the Market Road area. The car passengers who came right behind saw the incident and recalled that Bijoy was soaked in blood and was seriously injured. He was rushed to a hospital but died while undergoing treatment. After the post-mortem, the cremation will be held on Monday afternoon.

Last year, a two-wheeler fell into a pothole on Pantheerankavu Road and was destroyed completely.
