KOCHI: Renowned Tamil movie director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who reached Kerala as part of the promotion of his latest film 'Leo', suffered an injury due to a stampede in Palakkad. Thousands of fans flocked to Aroma Theatre in Palakkad to catch a glimpse of the director. Lokesh sustained a leg injury in the stampede of the audience.
The police resorted to lathi-charge as the fans flocked in large numbers. Lokesh's other programs for the day were cancelled following his leg injury. Lokesh was supposed to visit the Ragam Theatre in Thrissur and the Kavitha Theatre in Kochi today. Lokesh announced that the press conference scheduled for today in Kochi has been rescheduled for another day.
Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo is running successfully in more than 600 screens in Kerala. The film registered record collection in the state in the last few days. Other prominent actors in the film are Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Myshkin, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy, Janani, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Babu Antony etc. Anirudh Ravichander has composed music for the film.
