THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP National President, JP Nadda and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah are set to visit Kerala to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Nadda will be in Kerala on the 30th of this month to inaugurate the NDA's secretariat march. Amit Shah will arrive in the second week of December to launch the state-level 'Janajagaranayatra,' led by the state president, K Surendran. Shah will also address a large rally in Thiruvananthapuram.
Surendran will lead a journey from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod with approximately 25,000 activists accompanying the yatra. This yatra will pass through all 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, and central leaders will participate in reception meetings at key locations.
The NDA's secretariat march is a protest against the alleged corruption in the Left Front government and seeks justice in the Karuvannur bank fraud case. The party has planned a campaign titled "BJP to fight Left government's corruption." From November 1 to 20 evening meetings will be held at about 2,000 centres across the state addressing various issues including Karuvannur. The central leadership's strategy is to engage with the public and continue the agitation even after the secretariat march.
The central leadership aims to make significant organizational changes in the BJP in the state, improve its public image and adopt a more serious approach to politics. The state leadership is instructed not to make unnecessary statements. Only the leader designated by the state president is authorized to interact with the media, and those who make baseless claims have been removed from the discussion.
In the third week of November, a training camp will be held for the party's representatives totalling around 2,900 people. The training will focus on expanding the party's presence and increasing participation in governance.
