THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Motor Vehicle Inspectors Association (MVI) has urged the Chief Minister to revoke transfer orders. If no favourable action is taken, they plan to approach the Administrative Tribunal.

Previously, the Kerala Administrative Tribunal cancelled the transfers of 205 Assistant MVIs. These transfers were based on the unusual grounds that enforcement squad officers had not filed a petti-case, which the Tribunal found unjust. The same criteria led to the transfer of 96 MVIs.

On July 25, the draft transfer list of MVIs was posted online. After that, standards for handling peti-cases were established. Those who had served in enforcement for three years had applied for transfers to field offices. The government's directive is to make transfers based on these criteria. However, there's a complaint that the final transfer list, released on the 27th, did not follow the proper criteria. This transfer was not included in the online portal and differed from the initial draft list.
