THRISSUR: A nine-year-old boy was found dead after falling into a garbage dump. The incident happened at Kunnathupeedika Kottekkad in Thrissur. The dead is John Paul, son of Rijo Johnny of Kuruveettil and Sana.

The boy went out with his bicycle last evening and did not return home even at night. In a search conducted by his family and the locals, his body was found in the garbage dump of the plastic company near their house at around 9 pm. The initial conclusion is that the accident may have happened after his cycle fell into the deep open garbage pit.

Police officials have reached the spot and have started further action. Viyur SHO said that an expert team will visit the spot and conduct an inspection. The panchayat authorities informed that after an inspection, appropriate action will be taken against the plastic company.

John Paul is a fourth standard student of St Mary's School in Kottekkad. His sisters are Neha Cheesty (plus two student) and Dia Rose, an eighth standard student.
