THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All three political fronts are gearing up for the upcoming parliamentary elections expected in April. Kerala is set to experience a period of intense political activity over the next five months.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his ministers are temporarily shifting their focus from the government to the people. They will visit all 140 assembly constituencies to highlight their administrative achievements from November 18 to December 24. Organizing committees have been formed for public meetings in each constituency. District Collectors and officials will oversee these activities. In 49 constituencies where there are no Left MLAs, an alternative system is in place.

Simultaneously, the UDF and the NDA are launching campaigns against what they term as 'corrupt rule' and government excesses. KPCC President K Sudhakaran will kick off the Kerala Jatha. The BJP-JDS alliance in Karnataka and the JDS's association with the Left Front and the Kerala Cabinet will be used to allege a secretive connection between the CPM and BJP.

The UDF is pleased with the success of the Secretariat blockade against the Pinarayi government on the 18th. BJP State President K Surendran is commencing the Jana Jagarana Yatra. It's noteworthy that all three political fronts are claiming credit for the development of the Vizhinjam port.

During their campaign, the Chief Minister, Ministers and Left leaders will highlight the development and governance achievements of the past seven and a half years including the first Pinarayi government. They will discuss issues such as land allocation and housing for the less privileged, the GAIL pipeline, mountain and coastal highways.

Following the joint district tour by KPCC President K Sudhakaran and Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan, UDF leaders will hold public hearings in all 140 assembly constituencies. They will address controversies like the Karuvannur bank, AI Camera, K-Fon and monthly payment disputes.

On the morning of the 30th, BJP National President J P Nadda will inaugurate the NDA's Secretariat strike against corruption and bank frauds by the Left government.

In the evenings, intersection meetings will take place at 2000 centers across the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Jana Jagarana Yatra led by K Surendran starting from Thiruvananthapuram and ending in Kasaragod in the second week of December. Around 25,000 members will accompany him.
