JAIPUR: A 32-year-old man named Nirpat Singh was brutally killed by a tractor in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The tractor's rope went through his body eight times. The police have informed us that they've arrested five people, including the accused Damodar, and are searching for others who fled. It's been reported that the people involved are close relatives. More than 12 people were injured during the clash, which occurred last Wednesday in Bayana village.

The incident was sparked by a long-standing land dispute between two families. Three days prior to the murder, there was a confrontation between Atar Singh Gujjar and the defendant Bahadur. Both parties filed complaints at the Sadar police station. However, on Wednesday, another dispute erupted on the farmland.

The police stated that Bahadur Singh's family arrived at the disputed land with a tractor, leading to a clash involving sticks and stones. During the altercation, Nirpat Singh, Atar Singh's son fell to the ground. This is when Damodar used the tractor to run over Nirpat multiple times, despite attempts by onlookers to stop him. The entire incident was witnessed by family members including women.

The video footage of the murder quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread protests. The BJP has also criticized the Rajasthan government alleging a breakdown in law and order.

According to Vinod Gurjar, Nirpat Singh Gujjar's brother: "The police took no action when we were attacked three days ago. When we went to the farm with the tractor, they pelted stones and attacked my family members. My brother has just been killed."
