KOLLAM: The culture minister, Saji Cherian, responded to the incident involving actor Vinayakan. The minister stated that Vinayakan being an artist should be seen as his actions at the police station as an artistic expression. Vinayakan had been arrested in connection with a disturbance at Ernakulam North Station but was later released on bail. The minister made these remarks while inaugurating the concluding session of a cultural festival at the Sri Narayana Guru Cultural Complex in Kollam.

"Vinayakan is an artist. Consider it as a form of art. No need for specific comments. Artists sometimes express themselves in unique ways, even in unexpected places like a police station. There's no need for us to be upset about it" said the minister.

Saji Cherian also mentioned that appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with the High Court's decision regarding reviewing the film. Currently, the police protocol has been prepared as per the High Court's instructions and will be submitted to the court.
