NOIDA: The police arrested a 28-year-old youth for throwing a dog from the balcony of the house after sexually abusing it. The incident happened on Thursday at Greater Noida. He threw the dog on the street from the third floor of his house. A neighbour who saw this complained to the police. The police then reached the spot and arrested the youth.

His neighbour noticed the youth with the dog on the balcony on Thursday midnight. He felt something wrong and noticed the youth. He then saw the youth sexually abusing the dog. When the neighbour questioned this, he threw the dog down from the third floor. The dog was seriously injured. Beta 2 Police Station Inspector Vinod Kumar Mishra said that an FIR has been registered against the detained youth.

A case has been registered against the youth under section 377 of the IPC. The police said that charges under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 have also been imposed. The police arrested the youth working in a private construction firm. Police said that he was under the influence of toxic substance at the time of the incident. Legal proceedings are in progress in the case.
