Saniya Iyappan has slowly morphed into an Instagram influencer and has made the social media platform her fiefdom. The 'Lucifer' actress spends an inordinate amount of time on Instagram and is reaping the dividends with many promotions through her page.

But recently, her Instagram activity slowly plummeted and it brought enough concern from her vast follower base since the actress never missed a day to post something on her feed. There were also reports about the actress taking a hiatus from movies to concentrate on her studies. Later, the news came true and Saniya shifted base to London for studies.

Saniya later joined the BA (Hons) Acting and Performance course at the University for the Creative Arts, which has a rich tradition of over 167 years. The course started in September. Saniya informed her fans about this by sharing her university ID card on her social media page. Her, Instagram feed also turned replete with scenic images of London.

And just months into her course, Saniya has now made a volte-face. She has dropped her course after much deliberation since the studies clashed with her movie schedules.

“ I am following my heart, and so I return to cinema” Saniya posted on her social media page.

Saniya, who gained attention through reality shows, first came to the silver screen with the film 'Balyakala Sakhi'. It was Queen, released in 2017, that made the actor a popular face among Malayalis.
