THRISSUR: It has been alleged that a Class 6 girl was dropped midway from a private bus by the conductor for not giving Rs 5 as bus fare. The girl is a class 6 student at SMM Higher Secondary School, Pazhambalakode. The incident happened on Friday evening.
The student was travelling to Kattukulam in Thiruvilwamala. The child usually goes to school by school bus. However, on Friday, she had to take a private bus. The child only had two rupees in her hand. However, the conductor demanded five rupees as bus fare. Following this, he dropped the child halfway as she had no money. It is alleged that the conductor dropped the girl at a stop two kilometres away from her house after taking two rupees from her. The child was later brought home by the locals who saw her crying on the road. Following the incident, the student's father lodged a complaint with the police against the Aruna bus plying on the Ottapalam route.
Woman, daughter dropped midway for not giving change
In another incident, a woman and her daughter were dropped midway from a bus for not giving change. The incident took place on Friday afternoon. The wife and daughter of public servant Faisal Thippalassery were dropped midway from a private bus plying on the Kunnamkulam Wadakkanchery route. The woman was taking her daughter to the doctor in Ottupara. It is learnt that the conductor of the bus asked the two to get off the bus at Nelluvaya as they did not have change to pay the bus fare.
