KOZHIKODE: The woman journalist associated with Media One channel has finally lodged her complaint against Suresh Gopi with the Kozhikode city police commissioner. It is reported that the video footage of the incident has also been produced.

According to the complaint, BJP leader Suresh Gopi brushed the journalist's shoulder with bad intentions. The journalist demanded a proper enquiry into the matter conforming to all legal steps. The case has been transferred to Nadakkavu police.

At the same time, BJP state president K Surendran adopted a pacifying stance and appealed to stop the controversy.

“ Suresh Gopi apologized out of his conviction. He even directly apologized to the journalist. So it is better to stop this controversy, and I am making a generous appeal to all.” Surendran wrote on Facebook.

The incident occurred during a media interaction in Tali, Kozhikode when Suresh Gopi put his hand on the shoulder of a woman journalist who had asked a question he did not like. It was clear in the footage that Suresh Gopi repeatedly patted her even after she brushed his hands away.
