KUTTIPURAM: Plus one student thrashed a teacher in front of the principal and other teachers for scolding him for loitering in the school's arts festival training ground. Sajeesh (34), a teacher at Kuttipuram GHSS, dislocated his shoulder due to the student's attack.

The incident took place at Perassannur GHSS on Saturday during the Sub District Arts Festival Training. The school dispersed in the afternoon after the PTA general body meeting. The teacher scolded some of the students who wandered unnecessarily in the area where the girls were training for the arts festival. After being presented in front of the principal, the enraged student beat up the teacher in front of the principal. The teacher dislocated his shoulder as the student kicked him on the back after twisting his hand backwards. Some teachers fell down while trying to stop the attack.

The student was suspended. The injured Sajeesh is undergoing treatment at the Kuttipuram Govt. Taluk Hospital. After the teacher lodged a complaint with the Kuttipuram police, an SBR was prepared against the student and sent to the Juvenile Justice Board.
