THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cancer Safe Kerala Project announced to conduct cancer screening in the entire population of Kerala. Dr MV Pillai, Medical Oncologist, Thomas Jefferson University and Dr Mohanan Kunnummal, Vice-Chancellor, Kerala University of Health Sciences, announced the project at the closing session of the International Cancer Prevention Summit held in the capital.
The project will conduct cancer screening in all districts in collaboration with leading hospitals. MS Faizal Khan, Managing Director of Nims Medicity, flagged off the ambulance provided by Nims Medicity for Swasthi Foundation's Snehathalam programme.
Somateeram Ayurveda Group Chairman and Swasti Foundation Advisory Committee Member Baby Mathew Somateeram, Swasti Foundation Advisory Committee Member S Gopinath, Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Principal Secretary TKA Nair, Aster India Vice President Farhan Yasin, Nims Medicine Managing Director MS Faisal Khan, Lakeshore Director Zakir, IMA Alumni President John Panicker, Malabar Cancer Care Society President Dr Krishnananda Pai and others were present.
