KOCHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has once again lashed out at Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar in connection with the Kalamassery blast. The Chief Minister criticized the Union Minister during the press conference in Kochi.

"Rajeev Chandrasekhar is a minister of the country. That minister needs to have faith in investigative agencies. Police are investigating the matter. Central agencies have also reached here," the CM said.

When reporters pointed out that Rajeev Chandrasekhar alleged that he was ridiculed by communalists who spew poison, the CM said, "The venom spewed by the Union Minister is no ordinary but extremely poisonous. He sees it not as an allegation but as an ornament. The things that he said should not be coming from the mouth of a Union Minister. Back then, I only said it was poisonous. All I can say is that it was extremely poisonous."

"An attempt is being made to target one particular section in Kerala. However, there is no need to worry. Kerala is a state with good secularism. Some people are trying to belittle the entire state in order to belittle me, the government or the Left Front. However, there is no need for any such concern in the state," he added.
