THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has lodged a complaint against those, including CPM state secretary MV Govindan, in connection with the Kalamassery blast. In its complaint, KPCC alleged that MV Govindan and others spread false propaganda to promote religious rivalry. KPCC also demanded that an investigation be conducted into the statements made by public activists.

Apart from MV Govindan, the complaint has been lodged against BJP leader Sandeep Warrier and Dr Sebastian Paul. KPCC demanded that they should be charged under sections, including IPC 153A. It was KPCC Digital Media Cell Convenor Dr Sarin who filed the complaint.

Meanwhile, the police are taking action against those who spread hate posts following the Kalamasery blast. Police have registered many cases in this regard across the state. The Cyber Crime section said that most of the posts causing communal strife have been removed.
