CHALAKUDY: Police said that Dominic Martin, the accused in the Kalamassery blast case, recorded his confession video at Miracle Residency Lodge in Koratty. Dominic stayed in the lodge only for fifteen minutes and filmed the video on his mobile phone. After this, he travelled 14 km on his bike and surrendered at the Kodakara police station.

Dominic, who came to the lodge with his identity card, took a room at the Miracle Residency on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The manager told the police that Dominic stayed in room number 410 on the fourth floor. He came down after 15 minutes and said that he was leaving immediately as his relative had an accident.

Meanwhile, the police believe that Dominic has a clear understanding of technical matters regarding making a bomb. The accused testified that he made the bomb at his house in Athani, Nedumbassery. The explosives were packed in a plastic bag. Local materials were used.

Roamed in search of police station to surrender
The police believe that after leaving the lodge, Dominic might have roamed on his bike for a long time searching for a police station to surrender. The officials concluded that he might not have noticed the Chalakudy police station when he went through the two flyovers on the national highway after crossing Poozhambalam. Otherwise, he would have surrendered to the Chalakudy police. On Monday morning, the police sealed the room where the accused stayed in the lodge. Later, they brought the accused to the lodge and collected evidence.
