Malayalam movie world is giving Raveendran Master's wife a helping hand in her time of need. Singers and directors have saved her from losing the roof above her head. Some people had scammed her, putting her in debt.
Ravindran Master's wife Shobha had decided to sell the flat in Kaloor to pay her debts. However, she doesn't have to anymore as her liability of 12 lakh rupees was settled through donations from the Malayalam movie industry. Director and FEFKA General Secretary B Unnikrishnan said that the documents of the flat were handed over to Shobha.
Singers' Association Malayalam Movies - Samam, K.J. Yesudas, K.S. Chitra, Johnny Sagarika, Ronnie Raphael, Deepak Dev, Sudeep and various organizations including FEFKA and Music Directors Union, came together for this purpose.
The flat was allotted to Shobha nine years ago as a tribute to Ravindran Master but only later she came to know that it was a scam. An event management company based in Bengaluru organized an event called Ravindra Sangeetha Sandhya. Shobha was offered Rs 25 lakh and a flat. The key of the flat was also handed over. The broadcast rights of the program were bought by a private channel for Rs 56 lakh.
The organizers received more than one and a half crore rupees including sponsorship, but only three lakh rupees were given to Shobha. Shobha learned that there was no electricity connection in the flat only when she shifted there. Despite several requests to register the flat, the construction company refused. The event management company was approached for the promised money but they refused.
It was later learned that the construction company had taken a loan against each flat in the apartment complex for six lakh rupees. Eventually, the builders backed out, handing over all the flats to the residents' association. Shobha had also completed the registration by taking a loan of three lakh rupees after knowing about the handing over of the flat.
The flat, which did not even have basic facilities, was closed for maintenance and all the residents moved out. Shobha also moved to the upper floor of a nearby house. All the other residents paid the loan dues. , Shobha's money was given temporarily by the association as she was hard up. The due amount including interest reached 12 lakhs following which Shobha decided to sell the flat.
It was the love and respect for Ravindran Master that his colleagues gave.
