THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: JP Nadda, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has criticized the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government for its soft stance on terrorism. Nadda compared this approach to instances like the handling of terror attacks by Hamas in Israel and the train arson incidents. This is not the first time he has voiced his concerns; during his visit to Kerala in July last year, he had already warned against such leniency. Nadda further accused the state government of supporting this approach while inaugurating the NDA's secretariat blockade.
If you want to understand the mismanagement of the state, you have to look at the Modi regime at the centre. The Modi government brought out half of the people below the poverty line. Kerala has two Vande Bharat trains and a special Vande Bharat connecting the cities of Bangalore, Chennai and Ernakulam. National Highway 66 was renovated with six lanes. He criticized the state's refusal to implement the Jal Jeevan Mission, a central initiative aimed at providing drinking water. There is no corruption in the centre. There is rampant corruption in Kerala. The Chief Minister's family is involved in corporate corruption every month. 300 crores deposited by common people in Karuvannur Cooperative Bank is being stolen by the former minister, MLA and ruling party leaders. The government protects them. Isn't this bad governance?
Furthermore, Nadda argued that there is little difference between the UDF and the LDF when it comes to religious extremism, corruption, and undermining central schemes designed for the benefit of the public.
JP Nadda visited the Padmanabhaswamy temple and was subsequently taken to the secretariat's venue in an open vehicle. He was accompanied by key BJP leaders, including State President K. Surendran, NDA Convener Tushar Vellapalli, and BJP District President VV Rajesh. The ceremony in front of the secretariat was presided over by NDA state chairman K. Surendran.
