THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An all-party meeting called by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan declared full support to the government regarding the Kalamassery incident. All the party leaders who participated appreciated the government's timely intervention and clarified that they will stand by the peace efforts.
Chief minister said that the intelligence system will be further strengthened. Strict legal action will be taken against hate propaganda through social media and against those who spread false propaganda to destroy religious harmony. A thorough investigation will be conducted into the incident. Expert treatment will be provided to the injured.
Chief Minister said that the media was able to stay cautious in view of the fact that the news would create a fearful situation among the people. CPM State Secretary MV Govindan said that nothing should be allowed to cast doubt on the secular nature of Kerala.
Leaders including Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan, Ministers K Rajan, Roshi Augustine, AK Saseendran, Antony Raju, P Rajeev, representing political parties MV Govindan, PK Kunhalikutty, VT Balram, C Krishnakumar, PP Suneer, Jose K Mani, MLAs Mathew T Thomas, Mons Joseph, Ramachandran Kadanapalli, PC Chacko, Francis Thomas, J Tamrukh, C Venugopalan Nair, G Balakrishnapilla, Shaja GS Panicker, Vakkanad Radhakrishnan, Dr Varghese George and Babu Divakaran spoke at the meeting. Chief Secretary Dr V Venu, Superintendent of Police Sheikh Darvesh Sahib and Additional Chief Secretary Home Bishwanath Sinha were also present.

The all-party meeting held in the wake of the Kalamassery blast called for maintaining the special status of peace and brotherhood in Kerala. The resolution presented in the meeting presided over by the Chief Minister was unanimously approved.
Communal harmony and non-religious harmony will be strengthened at all levels. The resolution says that Kerala is of one mind in this regard.
Some are intolerant of this social situation which is the pride of Kerala and are eager to eradicate it. Kerala will overcome their attempts of fragmentation and move ahead with one mind.
