THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP has decided to appoint 20000 IT professionals and start 225 data centres in the country to use new technology including artificial intelligence (AI) and reels for the Lok Sabha elections. These data centres are set to commence operations this week, with four of them located in Kerala.
The primary advantage of this approach is the ability to deliver each voter's choice of election promises directly to their mobile phones. Sunil Bansal, the General Secretary, is overseeing this initiative at the national level, with technical assistance being provided by Mumbai-based Jarvis Technology and Strategic Consulting. The conventional campaign methods, such as elaborate street decorations and costly car announcements, are being phased out in favour of a high-tech approach.
The IT centres aim to use artificial intelligence, reels and video messages to convey the governance excellence of the Modi government to the voters and counter opposition allegations and fake news. For this purpose, a team consisting of content writers, video editors and telecallers will be in the data centres 24 hours a day. Campaign texts knowing the interests and political needs of the people of each region will be sent directly to their mobile phones, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp accounts.
The campaign is further divided into several categories, targeting individuals engaged in various central government schemes, new party members, new voters, women voters, minority groups, IT professionals, expatriates, and soldiers, among others.
