KOCHI: In the aftermath of the Kalamassery blast, 21 individuals who sustained injuries are currently receiving medical treatment at different hospitals, including the Medical College. Alarmingly, the condition of three among them is deemed critical. Meanwhile, the bodies of the two deceased victims have been temporarily placed at the Medical College Mortuary, awaiting DNA testing for accurate identification.

Medical College

Rahul (21), son of Reena (Sally Pradeep), Gracie (52) from Thodupuzha Kaliyar and Abhishek from Ramavarampuram are in Burn ICU and Medical ICU. The 28-year-old, who was undergoing treatment here, was shifted to Kottayam Medical College for skin grafting and advanced treatment.

Rajagiri Hospital

Molly Joy (61), a native of Kalamassery Muttom, who was in the ICU, was shifted to Palarivattam Medical Center as per the request of her relatives. Molly was on a ventilator. Gerald Jim, a 14-year-old native of Caladi who suffered burns, was informed earlier that he would be transferred from the ICU, but it was not possible until late last night.

Aster Medcity

Malayathur native Reena (Sally Pradeep, 45) and her son Praveen (24) are in critical condition with more than 50 per cent burns. Sally is on a ventilator.

Libna's body is still in the mortuary as mother Sally and elder brothers Praveen and Rahul are critically ill, the body of Libina, who died in the blast, is being kept in the morgue after the post-mortem. Superintendent of Medical College Dr Ganesh Mohan said that they are waiting for Leona's DNA test.
