THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Central Meteorological Department has predicted rain and strong winds in various districts of Kerala today. Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts will experience light to moderate rain in isolated areas over the next three hours. The Meteorological Department warns of strong winds with speeds of up to 40 km per hour.
The Central Meteorological Department has also stated that light rain is possible in Pathanamthitta, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod. No yellow alerts have been issued in any districts for today. Yellow alerts have been announced for various districts on November 3 and 4.
November 3, 2023: Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur.
November 4, 2023: Yellow alerts for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode and Wayanad.
The Central Meteorological Department indicates that the Thulamasam will remain active in the state until November 5. The state is expected to receive moderate rain with thunder and lightning for the next five days.
