KALLAMBALAM: Arrest is being delayed even though the evidence has been handed over to the police in an animal abuse case. A complaint was lodged with the Kallambalam police along with the CCTV footage, in the incident of sexual abuse of domestic animals belonging to Abdul Karim of Mulayilazhakam house, Pulloormukku Kallambalam and a four-month-old lamb being abused to death. The complaint is that no action has been taken even after a month of filing a complaint with the police.
An unknown person was regularly found breaking into the barn of farmer Abdulkarim's house at night and sexually abusing the cow and the goat. The CCTV visuals were checked as the women's clothes that were left to dry and the soap and oil in the bathroom were regularly displaced. The unknown person was seen sexually abusing the animals while these visuals were checked.
An unidentified person who was completely naked entering the bathroom after 3:30 in the morning, putting on an underskirt and going to the stable was caught on camera. Meanwhile, a four-month-old female lamb went missing. Two days later, the lamb was found dead in a nearby area. The owner said that there were indications that the lamb was molested multiple times.
After reporting the information to the Kallambalam police, the police prepared an inquest and conducted the post-mortem of the lamb. A cow-calf, which was constantly abused, is being treated. An abused bull calf survived the misfortune. Abdul Kareem alleged that although the Kallambalam police have detained one person in the incident, there is no progress in the investigation.
