THRISSUR: Opposition leader V D Satheesan criticized that the returning officer of Kerala Varma and another teacher of DYFI standard who controls him are the ones who tried to stop KSU from the time the election in Kerala Varma College was announced.
SFI candidate Anirudh won as the chairman after last night's dramatic events in the college. Satheesan came forward responding against this.
He alleged that during recounting, power was snapped twice and that time the SFI criminals barged and slaughtered democracy. The candidate Anirudhan won with a majority of 11 votes in the recounting. KSU candidate Srikuttan had won by one vote when the votes were counted first. For the first time in the 41-year history of Kerala Verma College, the news came that a KSU candidate had won. With this, the KSU activists had started celebrations.
After that, the SFI demanded recounting. In the recounting, the SFI candidate won as chairman with a majority of 11 votes. Then came the announcement. Srikuttan, a third-year student of political science, is a visually impaired student. The KSU came forward with the allegation of sabotage in recounting and clarified to approach the court.
