WASHINGTON: Kim Jong-un's North Korea is reportedly providing weapons to terrorists in the Middle East. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing South Korea's intelligence agency. Evidence has already surfaced that Hamas and other terrorist organisations are using North Korean weapons extensively.
Kim Jong Un ordered his officials to provide all support to Hamas in the Israel-Hamas war. North Korea, which is facing UN sanctions due to its nuclear tests, is not in a good financial condition. It is believed that the aim is to earn more money through illegal arms sales. According to the report, Kim asked his officials to give full support to Hamas to maximize his country's advantage in the war.
Pictures and videos of North Korean weapons being used by Hamas, which has invaded Israel, have been released. South Korea has accused North Korea of supplying F-7 rocket-propelled grenades to Hamas to destroy Israeli armoured vehicles. Evidence also surfaced that Hamas was using North Korea's Bulsae-guided anti-tank missiles.
It is pointed out that North Korea's decision to sell sophisticated weapons to terrorists will have serious consequences. But North Korea says that there is no truth in the allegations against them and that they are baseless and false.
