KOCHI: Muslim League National Secretary ET Mohammed Basheer MP stated that League will cooperate with CPM's Palestine solidarity rally. He said that League will definitely participate if invited to the rally. ET said that it is a moment for everyone to stand together and pointed out that the situation of non-participation in the Uniform Civil Code seminar is different.
'There should be no hate propaganda against a particular religious group in connection with the Kalamassery blast. It is good that the accused has been caught, otherwise, there would have been a situation of Islamophobia. The League agrees with Congress's stand in the case of caste census,' he said.
Palestine solidarity rally led by CPM will be held at Kozhikode Sarovaram Trade Center on the 11th of the month. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the rally and invite eminent personalities from political, religious, social and cultural fields. Most of the Muslim organizations including Samasta will be invited to the event. CPM is making a move to keep Congress aside and only invite the Muslim League for this event.
CPM Kozhikode district secretary P Mohanan said that he welcomes the response of Muslim League. He also announced that the league will be officially invited to the Palestine solidarity rally. However, KPCC president K Sudhakaran said he was not aware of Mohammed Basheer's response. He responded that the decision taken by UDF applies to all. Sudhakaran said that he would respond to Basheer's words after studying it. Sudhakaran also asked, 'If you are a dog in your next birth, should you bark now itself?'
