THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Due to the influence of easterly winds blowing over South India from the Bay of Bengal, isolated heavy rains will continue in the state for five days, with central and south districts like to receive more rain. The rain will intensify in the hilly areas here and people in such places are advised to be careful. Yellow alert has been sounded in Idukki district today.
Along with thunderstorms, there is a possibility of strong wind with speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. There is a ban on fishing in Kerala coast due to bad weather. There is also a possibility of high waves of 1.2 to 1.8 meters along the Kerala coast.
