RAIPUR: The Enforcement Directorate has made a significant revelation regarding Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, just days before the assembly elections. The ED alleges that the promoters of the Mahadev betting app paid Rs 508 crore to Bhupesh Bagel. The ED states that the person involved in transferring the money has provided a statement. The ED has disclosed that this matter requires further investigation.

The ED is currently investigating the Mahadev app in a money laundering case. Asim Das was arrested by the ED on charges of acting as a middleman in money laundering and 5.39 crore rupees were also seized from him. ED officials clarified that they obtained information about the payment to the Chief Minister during his questioning. According to the ED statement, he indicated that the money in his possession was intended for Mr Baghel's election expenses in the state. The ED conducted a scientific examination of the phone seized from him and found shocking information when checking the email of Subham Soni, a high-ranking official of the Mahadev App.

In Chhattisgarh, where elections are taking place in two phases, voting will occur on November 7 and 17 with vote counting scheduled for December 3.
