KOZHIKODE: The Muslim League has announced that it will not participate in the Palestine solidarity rally that will be organised by the CPM in Kozhikode. The party took the decision on the issue without holding a special meeting. The other day, Muslime League leader ET Mohammed Basheer MP had said that Palestine solidarity was not a political issue and the League's stand was that it would participate if anyone invited it to the rally. Following this, the CPM had invited the League to the rally.

"This is a time for everyone to stand together. The situation of non-participation in the Uniform Civil Code seminar is different," ET Mohammad Basheer said the other day.

The Palestine solidarity rally and general meeting will be held at Sarovaram Trade Center in Kozhikode under the leadership of CPM on November 11. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the rally. Prominent people from political, religious, social and cultural fields will participate in the rally.
