THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An auto driver has been taken into custody for sexually abusing a woman in his vehicle. The police have taken into custody Muhammed Jijas of Muttathara. The 35-year-old woman called the auto from Attakulangara to go to her house in Muttathara. The driver sexually abused her on the way. The incident happened on Friday night at 11 pm.

He threatened and abused her after stopping the vehicle at a secluded place. Jijas is an accused in nine cases including POCSO. The woman has sought treatment at the General Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
