MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh were the two pillars of the team when India won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and the One day World Cup in 2011. Fans have seen great chemistry between the two on the field as well. Now Yuvraj Singh has made an open revelation about his relationship with Dhoni.

In an interview with TRS Clips, Yuvi revealed that he and Dhoni are not close friends. He also said that they became friends only because they were together in the Indian team. Apart from that, Yuvraj added that they are not closely related as their personal lives are very different.

'Mahi and I are not close friends. We became friends because of cricket. Mahi's lifestyle is completely different from mine. Mahi and I gave 100 per cent for the country when we stepped on the ground. Mahi was the captain and I was the vice-captain. I was four years senior when he joined the team. There is a difference in decisions when you become captain and vice-captain', Yuvraj added.

'He has disliked my decisions and I have disliked his. This happens in all teams. I sought his advice when I was nearing the end of my career. It was Dhoni who told me that the selection committee was not considering me. This was just before the 2019 World Cup. This is the reality'.

'Team members don't necessarily have to be friends off the field. Everyone has different abilities and lifestyles. If you take a team, all 11 may not go together. They have to put their ego aside and give their all while on the field'.

'We are fierce professionals more than friends. I wish him well and know he wishes me back. He and I are retired. When we meet, we meet like friends' - said Yuvraj Singh.
