THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four KAS officers are taking up crucial positions in KSRTC as the administration of executive director comes to an end. The government has given permission for reshuffle in top management positions. The proposal for the same was made by CMD Biju Prabhakar on the basis of Prof. Sushil Khanna's report which has now been approved by the government.
In the post of general manager, three will be zonal heads and one will be in charge at the chief headquarters. These are the top posts in KSRTC after CMD.
The post of Executive Director was held by KSRTC officials who were promoted. The government and the management have come to the conclusion that many of these who have secured subordinate appointments do not have the necessary qualifications to hold high posts. The recommendation to appoint professionally skilled persons in the top management has come before the government several times.
Pramoj Shankar, a civil servant, is the Joint Managing Director of KSRTC.
