THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There will be no immediate action against KPCC General Secretary Aryadan Shoukath in connection with the Palestine solidarity rally. Speaking on the matter, disciplinary committee chairman Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said that more clarity is needed on a few issues in the controversy.

"The disciplinary committee will meet again on the 8th of this month to hear more leaders from Malappuram. Aryadan Shoukath has given a letter to the committee. The letter is confidential in nature. He has asked the committee to hear some more people. The committee will also hear the part of those who participated in the rally," Thiruvanchoor said.

He also mocked that the CPM's wait for Aryadan Shoukath to leave the Congress and join the party will only go in vain.

"CPM is trying to wear down a movement that is working beautifully. We are not children to fall for it. All of us saw the condition of KV Thomas who was invited by CPM with much effort," Thiruvanchoor added.

Before meeting the disciplinary committee, Aryadan Shoukath had responded that it was his stance to organise the Palestine solidarity program in violation of the party ban in Malappuram and that he was standing firm in that stance.
