THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The week-long festival ‘Keraleeyam’ is ending on Tuesday on a high note. The mega fete which was conducted across 42 venues in the capital city will see curtains today with an entertainment extravagance.
For the past seven days, the capital city saw unparalleled celebrations of all kinds including luminous lights, culinary varieties and intellectual seminar sessions. The final session of 'Keraleeyam' will be held at the Central Stadium. Before the programme, a video segment with glimpses of 'Keraleeyam' festival will be shown to the audience.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will announce the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ and inaugurate the concluding session. Minister K. Rajan will preside. The general convener and chief secretary of the organizing committee, Dr V Venu, will give a brief presentation of the proposals in the seminar. Minister KN Balagopal will deliver the keynote address. Ministers Roshi Augustine, K. Krishnankutty, A. K. Saseendran, Ahmed Devarkovil and Antony Raju will also address the evening.
Under the direction of music director M. Jayachandran, the musical mega show 'Jayam' featuring Shankar Mahadevan, Karthik, Sithara, Rimi Tommy and Harishankar will be held. City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju said that there will be traffic regulation in the city from 3.30 pm today. The general public should reach the main venue, Central Stadium, by 3.30 pm. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. KSRTC has introduced electric buses every ten minutes to reach the central stadium from various parking centres.

Devi Kudumbashree Unit's juice shop in Suryakanti Hall turned into a super hit among people during this year’s Keraleeyam. Various flavours of juices were prepared under the leadership of Lakshmi Bhaskar.
