PULPALLY: Former General Secretary of KPCC, KK Abraham has been arrested in the Wayanad Pulpally Cooperative Bank loan fraud case by the Kozhikode ED unit. Abraham, the former bank president was taken into custody and questioned yesterday leading to his arrest. A search at Abraham's house revealed incriminating documents.

This marks the second arrest in the case, with the ED previously apprehending Abraham's benami, Sajeevan Kollapally. The action against Abraham was based on information obtained from Kollapally. The ED initiated the case after discovering money laundering related to the Pulpally Cooperative Bank fraud.

The total fraud amount is estimated at eight crore rupees. The incident came to light when a victim farmer committed suicide. Additional arrests are expected in the coming days.
