KOCHI: The High Court has identified anomalies in the Thrissur Kerala Varma College Union Chairman Election vote counting and recounting process. Following discrepancies in the vote count, KSU chairman candidate S Srikuttan has requested a re-election. Justice TR Ravi addressed this concern in response to Srikuttan's petition.

The High Court ruled that proper procedures were not adhered to during the counting and recounting of the election records. The Single Bench has postponed the judgment on the petition.

Originally, Srikuttan had won by one vote in the initial count. However, in the recount, SFI candidate KS Anirudh was declared the winner by ten votes. Srikuttan contested this outcome leading to the legal proceedings.
