KOTHAMANGALAM: A man from Kothamangalam was arrested for giving a fake message on the phone that a bomb had been placed in the Kothamangalam police station. At 10 am yesterday, Hanif, the said person, phoned the Thiruvananthapuram police control room and informed that a bomb had been planted at the Kothamangalam police station. The bomb squad and dog squad immediately conducted a detailed inspection of the station, but it was clear that the threat was fake. Subsequently, the accused was arrested during the investigation which focused on the phone call. The reason for the threat is unclear.
