KOCHI: Another person injured in the Kalamassery blast passed away as Sali Pradeepan (45), a native of Malayattoor, succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here. With this, the death toll in the explosion has increased to five. Sali Pradeepan's 12-year-old daughter Libna also died in the blast. Their son Praveen is also undergoing treatment in the hospital in a critical condition. Praveen is not aware of the deaths of his family members.
At the same time, police recovered four remotes used by Dominic Martin, the accused in the case, to carry out the blast. These were on the scooter Martin was riding. Martin was brought to the Kodakara police station and the remotes were found during the evidence collection. The scooter had remotes covered in a white cover.
On October 29, an explosion took place in the hall of the Samra International Convention Center, where the convention of Jehovah's Witnesses was held. There were more than two thousand people in the hall when the explosion took place.
