Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq invited a lot of fury from fans for his disparaging comments on Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan while talking in a media session. Pakistan media was quizzing Razzaq on the team's current dismal show in ICC World Cup cricket being held in India. In the talk, Razzaq lambasted the Pakistan Cricket Board and then went a tad further with a hideous juxtaposition of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Pakistan’s poor form, which flustered the cricket fans even in Pakistan.

“ Younis Khan gave me the confidence to perform better. He was a good captain. People are concerned with the intentions of Pakistani players. In reality, we have no such intentions to refurbish players to perform better. If you think that by marrying Aishwarya Rai you could get an ideal kid, you are doomed, such a thing would never happen” Razzaq talked to a flummoxed media team.

Adding more fuel to this controversy, Former Pak captain Shahid Afridi and Umar Gul were seen applauding and laughing at Razzaq’s ill-timed blathering. A lot of condemnation reached Razzaq after the video went viral and it even forced Afridi to change his stance and turn against Razzaq. Afridi said Razzaq was used to such idle talks and it deserves condemnation. Umar Gul on the other hand denied applauding Razzaq’s babbling but said different people have different perspectives.

The issue is now a potboiler on social media and even people within Pakistan are taking jibe at the players for embarrassing the country again just days after their exit from the cricket World Cup. Afridi said he would ask Razzaq to apologize for the hateful comments.

What a terrible thing to say!
That's why education and grooming is important. These 3 have travelled the world and yet, something like this is being said by Abdul Razzaq; endorsed by Umar Gull and Shahid Afridi. Very low.
This would hurt Aishwarya, her lovely Bachchan family… pic.twitter.com/IPw3JWhhUd
