KOLLAM: We hear a lot of news on divorces being celebrated like marriages. Divorces are mostly celebrated in foreign countries but now it is seen in Kerala also. The celebration of such a divorce in Kerala is now being discussed on social media.

Sajad (24), a native of Mayanad in Kollam, celebrated his divorce by cutting a cake and taking photos with his parents. He got divorced two months ago. He celebrated it by cutting a cake with his parents at the Thanni beach. Sajad said that after the pictures were shared on social media, it had gone viral.

Sajad arranged the same photographer called for his wedding. Sajad got married in August 2022. He was with her only for a month. Sajad, who had long hair, cut it short after his divorce.
