WISCONSIN: The court found a Wisconsin woman, 39-year-old Jessie Kurczewski, guilty of killing her friend by poisoning her drinking water with eye drops. The incident took place in 2018 in Wisconsin, USA.
The convict poisoned a family friend, Lynn Hernan, and informed the police about her death. She then told the police that the woman might have committed suicide. A detailed investigation was then conducted in the incident. There were reports that traces of tetrahydrozole in Visine, an eye drops, were found in the body of the woman. With this, the police confirmed that Lynn's death was a murder.
Health experts have found that excessive amounts of this can lead to increased blood pressure and shortness of breath. After interrogating Jessie, police confirmed that she mixed an excessive amount of eye drops with drinking water and gave them to his friend.
Police also eventually confimed that Kurczewski stole $290,000 (around Rs 2 crore) from Lynn. The investigation revealed that a financial dispute ended in the murder. The court sentenced Jessie to life imprisonment for intentional homicide and an additional ten years for theft and fraud.
