The cricket World Cup semifinal at Wankhede is turning into a gripping watch as New Zealand who stumbled early with the bat have now risen back to the game with a phoenix comeback. As of now, New Zealand has scored 299 runs with the loss of six wickets. Darryl Mitchell’s stunning century (132*) and the continuing destructive batting form are alerting the thousands crowded up in Wankhede stadium.

India seamer Mohammed Shami continued his wicket-hunting spree bagging in four dismissals including that of star Kiwis batsman Rachin Ravindra. After the fall of two major wickets, it was Darryl Mitchell and captain Kane Williamson who made a bulwark with some fine batting display. Indian bowlers sweated badly to pull that one crucial wicket away but failed in their attempts. It had to be Shami again in the 33 over who returned back to take the important wicket of Williamson who was dismissed for 69 runs.

Earlier, after winning the toss and going into bat, India scored 397 runs for four wickets in the limited over. India reached a huge score thanks to Virat Kohli's (117) record-breaking battle display with Shreyas Iyer’s dominant century.
