KOZHIKODE: Police have nabbed the co-accused in the case in which a housewife was abducted and murdered by her friend. Gudalur Ellamala native Sulaiman (54) was nabbed by the Kasaba police from Salem. He was later produced in the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court and remanded. The woman murdered is Sainaba (52) of Kuttikkattoor in Kozhikode. Police had arrested Tanur native Samad (52), the first accused in the case, the other day.
After learning that Sulaiman was in Coimbatore, a police team under the leadership of Kasaba Station Inspector SB Kailasanath had gone to Tamil Nadu. Although the police team reached Coimbatore, Sulaiman escaped after realising that police had arrived to arrest him. The police team then managed to nab him after conducting an investigation focusing on the location of the mobile phone tower with the help of the Cyber Cell and the Salem police.
The accused was brought to Kozhikode yesterday morning. After preliminary interrogation, he was produced in the court in the evening.
