IDUKKI: Actor and former MP Suresh Gopi visited Mariyakutty, a daily wage labourer, who protested by begging with an earthen pot for the delay in getting welfare pension. Suresh Gopi came to Mariyakutty's house in 200 acre. Local BJP leaders also accompanied him.
‘Rs 2 is charged more when petrol is filled. The chief minister himself said the other day that this is for the welfare and widow pensions. One cannot trust this government,’ Suresh Gopi told Mariyakutty.
When Mariyakutty was criticizing the government, Suresh Gopi said, ‘You should censor all this and give. Amma should not have any other problems. You all know them well, be careful and give.’
