THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary MV Govindan has said that the election commission should seriously intervene in the incident where fake identity cards were made in connection with Youth Congress organizational elections. He alleged in a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram that this could be a move to cast false votes widely in the upcoming general elections.

"If the Youth Congress made so many cards for the organizational election, how many lakh ID cards will be made for the upcoming parliamentary elections? Make an ID card from a special app, vote with it. All the information about this is out. This Youth Congress model created as part of the parliamentary elections is creating anxiety among the people. An investigation should be conducted in this regard as it shows that anyone can make an ID card", he said.

He also accused Kanugolu of being behind the attempt to subvert the upcoming general elections.

At the same time, MV Govindan stated in the press conference that there is no political motive in including the Muslim League representative in the board of Kerala Bank. Govindan added that the Nava Kerala Sadas is the new foot of democracy. He also requested the people to participate in the Navakerala Sadas.
