THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the entire cabinet will go to the people in one vehicle. Problems and grievances will be identified in person. Officials and people's representatives will also be there. This is the first time in the country that such a public relations program of a state government is happening.
Complaints can be made to the Chief Minister and Ministers. Officers will accept the complaints. Solution within 20 to 45 days.
The month-and-a-half tour of the cabinet is being conducted around the 140 assembly constituencies targetting the parliamentary elections. The Navakerala Sadas, which begins today in Manjeswaram, will conclude on December 24 in the capital.
While the first Pinarayi government was ahead in popularity, the Left Front leaders secretly admit that the current government is lagging behind. Although there is a lot of development work including people welfare programs and Vizhinjam port and cooking gas pipeline, financial crisis and problems in cooperative banks including Karuvannur and Kandala are overshadowing the achievements.
The LIFE housing project is also lagging due to the financial crisis. The Chief Minister, Ministers and Left MPs and MLAs have decided to hold a strike in Delhi against the actions of the Central Government which are suffocating the state. The Left Front will expose the Centre's discrimination in Navakerala Sadas.
Front yard meeting before Sadas
Sadas will be held in four assembly constituencies a day. Before this, front-yard meetings will be held in 50 houses in each constituency under the leadership of left representatives and officials.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's appeal about people's Sadas will be distributed as a pamphlet.
A ten-member group will speak at front-yard meetings. Possible solutions to people's problems will be found and those that are not solved will be considered in Navakerala Sadas.
